Bonding
Bonding is an alternative to porcelain veneers. Composite is used, which is a tooth colored filling material made out of a plastic resin material filled with silicon dioxide (glass). This technique can be used for fixing chipped teeth, or to close gaps.
This material is not as strong or long lasting as ceramic, so it is best used for small spots or chips. This material can be used for veneers, but it will not last as long, and it is more likely to pick up stain over time. Composite does not require a lab, so it can be completed in one appointment, and it is significantly less expensive than ceramic.
This material can produce beautiful results due to new technology that allows us to match the shade of the material to each individual tooth and we are able to polish composite to a high intensity shine allowing very lifelike results. .
