Removable Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures are dental appliances made to replace missing teeth, and to prevent other teeth from changing position. These are one-piece removable partials with clasps that hold it in place around the existing teeth.

They can be made for the top arch or the bottom. These are usually made with a metal base, with metal clasps, and acrylic gums and teeth are added to the areas that require teeth. New materials are available for partials for the aesthetic conscious patient.

Now we can make partials out of a softer plastic material that is gentle on the gums, and does not use metal clasps. These are not quite as durable as the original metal partials, but they are very comfortable, and beautiful.
